Individual Practice Accumulation

The “hôtellerie de pratique” provides a dedicated space for anyone wishing to deepen their meditation practice.
Located in Laussedat in a protected environment, the guesthouse has 15 individual rooms specifically designed for this purpose.

Registration requirements

This type of stay is part of an ongoing process of study and practice.

It is intended for Buddhist practitioners who:

  • have taken refuge
  • are already familiar with Buddhist teachings
  • are committed to a daily meditation practice

These stays are unguided and require practitioners to be self-sufficient in their practice.
Registration is made directly with the Welcome Office.

Accommodation facilities

Each room is equipped with:

  • a single bed, prepared before your arrival
  • a meditation box with an altar
  • a kettle and tea-making facilities

The shared bathroom facilities, including showers and toilets, are shared by a maximum of five people.

A daily contribution to the upkeep of the communal areas is required.

  • Bed linen and towels provided
  • Laundry facilities available (washing machine and tumble dryer)
  • Wi-Fi available in the dining area
  • Meals served in the Laussedat community dining room

A setting conducive to practice

The facilities are gradually being developed to provide increasingly favourable conditions for meditation and practice.

  • Book Lounge available, with a wide selection of books
  • Dedicated space for meals taken in silence (currently being developed)
  • Laussedat stupas
  • Pond and garden

Contribution rates

Full-board stays are offered as a weekly package, for periods of 1 to 13 weeks.
To ensure the quality of the welcome and organisation, arrivals and departures take place on Saturdays only.

These arrangements and contribution rates should not, however, prevent anyone from enquiring about a stay. The Welcome Office remains available for any further information or enquiries.
